Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival - Negombo
Arrive at Colombo International Airport. Meet representative and transfer to beach hotel in Negombo. Rest of the day at leisure. Negombo is a characteristic fishing town 6km from the airport, famous for seafood and traditional fishing methods.
Negombo - Anuradhapura
After breakfast, transfer to Anuradhapura. En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to watch elephants bathing in the river. Visit Anuradhapura Cultural site - the first capital of Sri Lanka from 3rd Century BC, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Anuradhapura - Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya
Travel to Polonnaruwa, capital of Sri Lanka from 11th to 13th century AD. Visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, experience 4x4 Jeep Safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park to witness the largest Asian Elephant Gathering.
Sigiriya
Early morning climb of 1200 steps to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of Sri Lanka's most fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit Pidurangala Rock Temple, an ancient Buddhist temple built on a massive rock located five minutes from Sigiriya.
Sigiriya - Dambulla - Kandy
Travel to Kandy via Dambulla. Visit the Golden Rock Cave Temple dating back to 1st Century BC with colorful frescoes. En-route visit Ayurveda Herbal and Spice Garden. In Kandy, visit Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic).
Kandy
Full day in Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Optional activities include city tour, shopping, or additional cultural experiences.
Kandy - Colombo
After breakfast, proceed to Colombo. Colombo city tour visiting the commercial and financial center of Sri Lanka. Experience the blend of old and new architecture, temples, museums, and vibrant city life.

Departure
